I started to knit this blanket for the baby yesterday I've only done a few rows so far,and it has 100 stitches! I wonder how big it will be by next week? I think I will defo start to blog more about what I am knitting, baking, and cooking. Anywho here are a few pics of the blanket so far.

Progress from last post!
I got a bit fed up of knitting :O so went on to learn crochet but untill I get alot better at it I can't exactlly make anything,so I started to knit aswell again. The lil break was refreshing though as for a while I was knitting like every day! My friend gave me some chunkyish baby yarn that is white with specks of blue n green in it so I decided to make the baby I blanket for their cotbed. Knitting them things makes me feel alot more motherly which is something I have been lacking lately. To be honest I have been feeling more scared, depressive and confused above anything. But I read today that by week 27 my feelings really effect them so I am on a mission now to be more calm, happy and positive! I am on my last day of week 25 today n damn it has really flown past! We still need to get an awful lot for them it seems, and choosing a colour scheme for their room is really hard as we don't know what they are. At the moment the walls are a light blue as it makes the room feel alot calmer than yellow did! But it is choosing things like bumpers n curtains to go with it that is confusing us!
I can't believe how fast the pregnancy has gone,or how much more tired and hungry I feel now! It is so frustrating when I can't really do what I want to because I simply feel so dizzy n tired n stuff but I gusse I just need to learn how to take things a bit easier for now. I have gone of the one name we had, which was dylan, not to sure why but now need to start all over again lol! Hopefuly something will pop out at us! I think I mentioned in my last post that me n Clark are engaged if not I am now lol! I'm lookin forward to gettin my ring to wear soon,at the moment I think he is finding it hard to choose one n also needs to save up a bit more money n stuff, which to me is just fine as well it isn't all about wearin a ring is it now!
I've been enjoying baking vegan cupcakes, but am now thinking about baking our own bread as it would probablly be alot healthier than the processed stuff you get in the shop! I am also hoping to buy a compost bin soon as every time I put fruit n veg waste or even a teabag in the normal bin I just feel like it is such a waste! We have kinda decided not to get a kitten, recentlly we even said we would have 2 of a lady that needed some rehoming but then realised that the cost of bringing up a kitten would make things a bit tight. We do still keep uming n awing about it though n seem to really want a cat around! The local cat that comes into our house sometimes has started to be a little of with us so that is a bit upsetting n well he was a kind of substitute for us havin our own so yeah the yearn for a kitty is strong within us! Erm and oh the veganisim is goin super well n I feel really good,a little concerned about my iron intake but that was always an issue for me anyway even when I was vegi. Luckily there are special vitamin tablets you can have for when you are pregnant so I think I will get some next week. And that is about it really.!

Alot's changed since my last post!
I really should try to blog more often, maybe do like weekly special blogs or something!
Anywho I am now 25 weeks pregnant, and feelin preety heavy n alot more tired!
I am also most exciteingly ENGAGED ^___^ it happened on sunday n we are really happy n excited!! I don't yet have a ring but I will do soon.
Got to save up some pennys so it'll probablly be a while until the wedding but it is so cool bein engaged lol..finding it weird not bein able to say "my boyfriend" anymore!
I also learnt how to double crochet yesterday n have taken to it like a duck does to water :) so hopefuly will get really good at it n then I can make awesome arugumi toys for our kid :).
And today I did my first batch of vegan choc cupcakes with frosting, using the recipe from my new book called "vegan with a vengence". Clark really likes them n I think they are ok to,though could have done the frosting alot better!
I also got my fringe cut today is a bit shorter than I normally have but I do like it n oddly it makes me look totally different lol!
Here are a few pics of these things!
First attempt at crocheting
second attempt and new fringe
first batch of vegan choc cupcakes
and then with not very good frosting..it was a bit sloppy

Amazing how such a lil amount of time can make such a big change!
I choose to be vegan not to long ago,it just all of a sudden came to me. I'd done it before n loved it,so why did I ever stop I thought. I researched about being a vegan while bein pregnant n couldn't see anything bad about it. When I saw my midwife n told her about my diet change she said the only thing I may have to worry about was my iron levels, which is normal for anyone pregnant. I have really gotten back into being a vegan, and being an activist about it. Since becoming vegan again not only do physically feel better, I feel mentally better because I have become alot more passionate about things that matter to me. I've even decided to start making things to sell again, and to donate some of the profits to animal rights charities.I have set up the etsy shop, and have been knitting things like fingerless gloves as well it is always cold somewhere! I just need to make more things get them ready and take pics of them to put on the etsy shop. I hope to have done all of this atleast by the end of the month.
I remade a tumblr and searched one word, vegan, and found just so many amazing people! I did the same on twitter and also found loads of amazing people there to! It's been so inspiring to see all of these people and to take in alot of new info about stuff to do with bein vegan aswell. I've even bought a few books, one of them I have read alot n really love n that also led me to finding more vegan people n their blogs aswell. It is called "the vegan girl's guide to living" and is by melisser elliott, also known for her blog the urban housewife. It has an intro of lots of different parts of veganisim and has all these profiles on vegan people and their storys, and business's that they've started to sell vegan based goodies. There are recipes, crafty tips and info on te best cruelty free beauty products aswell. I also bought "vegan with a vengence" that is a recipe book for 150 cheap and interesting recipes. I haven't read that much but I'm sure when I have I will share what I thought!
I also bought myself this uber cute tee of ebay!
And me n Clark went with my aunt who is also a vegan to the local animal rights group meeting. Were helping out on a stall to tell people the realitys of greyhound racing on saturday n I think me n Clark will be going to a demo against the building of a pig factory farm in matlock on monday to. SO yep I have been busy!
I have also been busy online aswell, sharing info about things I've found on twitter n tumblr, and helpin out on peta2's campaigns against seal slaughter and how mcdonalds treat chickens.
All of this makes me happy. I feel better since my change and am sad that I had that blip with the meat while bein pregnant :( to be honest I did it out of curiosity n did not like it one bit! It made my body feel disgusting! And not even work properlly if you get me lol!
Clark is kinda vegan due to what we buy when we go shopping and he seems to be enjoying it to. So that's cool! We have talked about how we will be raising our baby on a vegan/vegi diet aswell n think that it is a good way to raise a healthy child to. We watched a show called junk food babies yesterday n it was just disgusting! All these young toddlers bein fed so much junk n eating up to 3000 calories a day! Thats more 1000 than a grown woman needs in a day! I just don't get how people think that feeding childern junk food will be ok for them. Anywho I won't get started on that.
Anywho life is going amazingly well :) clarks friends neighbour needed to rehome a few kittens so we said we would happily have them,at first we thought of only havin one but when the lady said there were only two left I just didn't want to split them up! They will be fed on a vegi diet aswell, my aunt has like 4 cats, 1 recently died due to licking some kind of antifreeze product n got ill :( but anywho yes she had 5 cats all on a vegi diet n they are all perfectly healthy n active n happy n have fantastic fur n eyes to! So no scabby skin or dull eyes or lazy unnutritioned cats! We have to wait about 3 weeks to have them as they aren't old enough but that will give us time to get all the things we need. We have decided to call them edgar n lily,as there is one black boy n one tortoise shell girl. We will be gettin them nutured, as well if you don't one animal can give birth to just an amazing amount of babies n that leads to more homeless cats n dogs!
I am 24 weeks this week n my bump is growin ever more bigger! I feel HUGE right now and my body feels so weird. I've started to become even more achey day by day aswell. I can't believe theres only 16 weeks to wait to meet our lil baby!! We have most of what we need n stuff n we have one name it is dylan n we really think that the baby is a boy.
And finally my enviromental studies course is goin well and I am really enjoying it and learning new things!

Hello to my new followers :)
I haven't had my blog for very long so was happy with the amount of followers I had which used to be 6. Now I have 2 new ones I am very excited! Especially about looking at your blogs aswell,as I do like to find new blogs :). I'm allready enjjoying stuff about stuff sarah, the bag you made for your lil girl is super cute! I've a feeling I've a boy, we don't know what the sex is as they were to tucked up! But I want to still sew and make them things even if boys clothes won't be as easy as making girls!
This is just a quick blog as a hello. I will be doing a longer one about how my turning my baggy trousers into skinny ones went, what I have been up to, and what I have been knitting etc. Today I hope to bake a vegan choc cake aswell so I will share how I did that to.

I've really thrown myself into being vegan again!
Last month I had a really bad blip for me..I curiously ate animals. Mainly pigs bless em. This was the only odd food thing I've had while pregnant. And no I did not feel any better for it..if anything I felt worse. My body just couldn't deal with digesting it properly after such a long time of me eating animals. Note how I say animals n not meat..well it is afterall dead animals. So last week I decided to go vegan again. In the hope to eat better than I had been, and because I had been missing my experiences of being vegan from when I was last year aswell. To be honest I don't know what stopped me from being vegan n made me go back to being vegi in the first place! But I have been very on n off with it since January 2009, I remember exactly when as it was my news year resolution. I think that I never really gave myself enough time or knowledge to get to proper grips with it and got frustrated about how hard it was to find food when I was out..But now it seems there is more on offer than there used to be,and also I have gotten into the habit of carrying food around with me aswell due to being pregnant and hungry often!
Being vegan is about alot more than just what I eat to me though. Going back to it has reminded me of how good I used to feel when taking part in local demo's and helping out the local animal rights group do stalls etc. So far since last week I have signed up to PETA's online action group, and requested they send me litrature and stickers so I can hand them out to make more local people aware of differnt topics from how meat eatin effects the planet to vivisection etc, sent numerious emails to different people about things like ending seal slaughter etc, and have downloaded their toolbar that somehow by me simply using it helps me raise money for them...I don't fully understand how but have gotten intouch with them asking how it works so I can explain it to people when I mention it. I've also just bought 2 vegan books of ebay, one is called vegan with a vengence and is solely a vegan cook book n the other is called the vegan girls guide to life which is also about cooking n baking but also about crafts and other lifestyle topics aswell. I'm looking forward to recieving them in the post and will do reviews on them as I read them.
I've even made myself this lil necklace as I noticed a silver name plate necklace on the PETA's website that said "vegan" but it was £20 and the reviews said it was lovely but the metal did get a lil rusty..I am allergic to cheap metals they make my skin go green, also I don't have that kind of money to spend on myself, but I liked the idea of it so here is my version! And it only cost 95p to make at a local jewellery makin shop called jar beads.
I think that feeling icky about having eatin animals and missing the activisim buzz is what's made me really throw myself back into veganisim and the lifestyle. I hope to keep it up and that in a years time I will still be actively vegan and loving it :).
Clark is a vegi and used to be vegan aswell, he is really happy about me not eating animals anymore as this upset and confused him..I think he knew I would end up feeling guilty and weird about it to. My midwife says I have one of the healthiest sounding diets out of everyone she see's and had no concerns about me being vegan whilst pregnant. And my aunt who is also a vegan was very upset that I had eaten pigs but very happy that I had decided to be vegan again. So it seems to be all round good choice I have made :).

Turning baggy trousers into skinny ones how to blog!
What I don't share enough is my love for making clothes and fashion! I have shared a few of the things I have recently made/altered but afterall I did originally want to share everything I have made! I just seem to forget to take pics lol! Anywho I want to start shareing my love of fashion and d.i.y style so this will be first how to...blog :). I bought a maternity bundle of ebay not so long ago,and one of the items is a pair of black with silvery grey pinstripes trousers which I really like but are far to long and baggy for my likeing! So a quick look on google led me to these handy how to vids n tutorials.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oin0hhXLAkU
This video is amazing it showed me how to turn my baggy trousers into skinny ones in a matter of 4 steps! The song was pretty catchy to :).
I also found this on the awesome website cutoutandkeep.net
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/skinny_jeans
Personally I think that the youtube vid is alot better than the tutorial on cutoutandkeep.net as they used pins in the vid and in the tutorial it suggests using a pen to mark lines..which just doesn't sound to accurate or good for when sewing!
This is what the trousers looked like originally
Very long and very flared for my shape!
I will get back to you on this when I have done it later as even though I tried to save the last attempt of doin this as a draft I couldn't find it to edit! Also my sleepy Clark got back from a festival last night n seems to be takin full advantage of bein in a bed able to sleep in! And our bedroom is where my sewing desk is lol!
